How does the claims process work?

If we decide there is a strong chance you could claim successfully, the process will follow four simple steps:

1. Your farm accident lawyer will listen to your story. They might ask for supporting evidence such as photographs, medical records and the contact details of any witnesses. 
2. Once they have everything they need, they will contact the other party and inform them of your intention to make a claim. 
3. The other party will either accept the blame or contest it. If they don't accept blame, your lawyer will start making negotiations on your behalf.
4. If you win your claim, you will get your compensation and your farm accident lawyer will take the pre-agreed percentage as payment. If you lose, there will be nothing for you to pay.

How much compensation could I receive?

Do I need no win no fee insurance?

We would recommend you take out After the Event insurance so that making a claim is totally risk-free for you. This policy helps to cover the legal fees you may otherwise have to pay the other side if you lose. 

Your farm accident lawyer will be able to organise this for you and it won't incur any upfront costs. All you will need to do is pay for the cover if you win, and this will be taken out of the compensation you receive.

Will my claim go to court?

Usually, farm injury claims are settled without needing to go to court. If your case does go that far, your solicitor will look after all the legal proceedings and ensure you are kept fully updated along the way.

What if I lose my farm accident claim?
